Senior living boost in Kerala: Serene Communities and Asset Homes unveil multi-city projects

Kochi: Serene Communities by Columbia Pacific, India’s largest senior living operator, has announced a partnership with Asset Homes to develop four senior living communities in Kerala, with investments expected to exceed ₹500 crore.

The first project under the collaboration, Serene Young @ Heart, was launched on Tuesday in Kochi and is slated for completion by early 2028. The project will feature 211 units, including 1, 1.5 and 2 BHK apartments, across 1.69 lakh sq. ft. in central Kochi.

The companies will jointly develop three additional projects in Kottayam, Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi, including a planned waterfront luxury community.

The partnership aims to address the state’s growing need for organised senior living options. “Kerala’s ageing population and higher life expectancy make it one of India’s most important regions for senior care innovation. With Serene Young @ Heart, we are introducing a world-class environment that allows seniors to age gracefully, surrounded by care, comfort, and connection” said Rajagopal G, Co-Founder and Group CEO of Serene Communities by Columbia Pacific.

Serene Communities, part of the LifeBridge Group, currently operates 10 senior living communities across India, serving 2,400 residents. The company has 13 ongoing projects in cities including Bengaluru, Mysuru, Chennai, Kochi, Pune and Hyderabad, and plans to launch at least 15 more in the next two years with the goal of reaching 10,000 units under care by 2030.
